Tummy Time!

Kennie's Purple Seat

Before Henry was born, his cousin Kendall decided to give her beloved purple seat to him. Since that time, the little seat has been sitting in Henry's closet, waiting to be used. I remember looking at it and thinking that it would be a long time before Henry was big enough for it. He has been growing so much lately both physically and cognitively. He is getting stronger and is outgrowing all of his smallest clothes. Just this week he had his first laugh (as witnessed by Aunt Aly) -- a big, deep, throaty, fantastic laugh. He sits on his changey-table each morning and talks to Mamma endlessly, and this weekend while we were watching General Conference, he was singing along with the choir during a couple of the musical breaks. He is fascinated by everything. With all of this recent growth, on a whim, we decided to pull out the purple seat and see what he thought of it. It was a hit. He was so proud to show Mamma and Daddy that he was sitting up all by himself. Thanks, cousin Kennie! Here are some pictures.

Like at First Sight

One of Henry's favorite things is his stuffed monkey, Don Vittorio Emanuele (Don Vito, for short). He loves to see him in the morning and he loves to cuddle with him and try to eat his face. He really became attached to Don Vito from the first time he saw him. They're about the same size, so that might have something to do with it.

4 Months

On Monday Henry will be four months old. We can't believe how quickly he is growing and how wonderfully he is developing. We love waking up in the morning to the sound of him over the monitor as he coos and babbles to himself in his crib. This is a time of such rapid growth and development for him, and it's a constant source of amazement to see his little personality begin to shine. He is such a happy, well-adjusted little guy and we are so proud of him.

Unka Charlie Christmas!!!!

After months of anticipation, Henry finally got to meet his Aunt Cassie and Uncle Charlie. He was immediately smitten with Aunt Cassie, saved all his best smiles just for Uncle Charlie, and spent the majority of time kicking his little cousin Jaynee while sitting on Aunt Cassie's lap. Needless to mention (though I will), he adores his aunt and uncle. I mean, who wouldn't love these two?
Aside from flirting with Cassie and taking laps around the living room nestled in the crook of Charlie's arm, Henry filled his weekend with basketball games (go Morgan!), trips to the local donut shop, and lots of naps. C&C are some of our very favorite people to spend time with and it was a fantastic weekend. It reminded us of "the good old days" when we were all first married and in school, and Josh and I would take car trips nearly every free weekend that we had to go hang out with these two in Cedar City.

We miss you guys already and CAN'T WAIT until Jaynee gets here!! 42 days to go!!
